Football Performance Center at Ole Miss Supported on Aggregate Piers
Subsurface Constructors recently completed the aggregate pier ground improvement for the new expansion of the Manning Performance Center at the University of Mississippi, which will add new weight training facilities, coaches offices, and locker rooms.
The purpose of the aggregate pier ground improvement system was to provide a uniform bearing pressure of 5,000 psf in variable existing fill and natural soil that ranged in blow counts from N = 1 to 36. Subsurface designed and installed roughly 210 aggregate piers to support footings with sizes up to 11-ft square.
